Selected participations in Austria and Central and Eastern Europe complement and extend RWA’s business segments and safeguard an evolutionary and sustainable growth strategy in the interest of the entire group. Since 1999, RWA has been in a strategic alliance with the German BayWa AG as a result of which it is an integral part of an internationally active trading and service group.

RWA Raiffeisen Ware Austria AG is a cornerstone of the Austrian Raiffeisen goods organisation. It was initially established as a cooperative in 1993 when it took over the responsibilities of its predecessors at both provincial and federal levels. In 1998 all business activities were transferred to the newly established RWA Raiffeisen Ware Austria AG. This brings together Austria’s Lagerhaus cooperatives – on a voluntary basis – in a strong group. RWA offers the Lagerhäuser a comprehensive spectrum of services in the business segments of agriculture, agricultural machinery, building materials, home & garden, energy and services. RWA’s activities are focussed on its member cooperatives in Lower and Upper Austria, Styria and Burgenland.
